Fillers

As the duration of filler effect increases, the risk of allergic and granulomatous reactions also increases; therefore, patients are primarily offered temporary fillers containing hyaluronic acid, and permanent fillers are only used with the patient's official consent.

Our clinic offers a variety of temporary, semi-permanent, and permanent fillers.

As the duration of filler effect increases, the risk of allergic and granulomatous reactions also increases; therefore, patients are primarily offered temporary fillers containing hyaluronic acid, and permanent fillers are only used with the patient's official consent.

How do fillers work?

The type of filler is chosen according to the area and depth of the application. Products with small particles are used for finer lines, while products with larger particles are used for thicker lines. Following injection, fillers integrate with body tissues, naturally allowing the passage of oxygen, hormones, and nutrients. After a while, they are depleted and eliminated from the body due to normal biological processes.

Where are dermal fillers used?

• Acne scars and marks,

• For plumping and defining the contour of the lips,

• For reducing wrinkles in the crow's feet area around the eyes,

• In eliminating wrinkles around the mouth,

• In facial contouring,

• In filling the groove between the nose and mouth, called the nasolabial sulcus,

• For filling in the cheekbone area, and

• It is used to reduce the prominence of neck lines.

Who should not have fillers?

The filler should not be administered to individuals allergic to its ingredients, pregnant or breastfeeding women, children under 12 years of age, or those receiving immunosuppressive treatment. It should also not be injected into areas with active infections or inflammation.

How are fillers applied?

Local anesthesia is applied 30 minutes before the injection. The fillers are injected into the skin using very fine needles. The patient may experience minimal discomfort. For those with a low pain threshold and in sensitive areas like the lips, needle anesthesia is used. The treatment takes approximately 10-20 minutes. The treatment is simple and safe, and results are visible immediately.

What are the side effects of dermal fillers?

Temporary fillers have no serious side effects because they are the same hyaluronic acid found under the skin. Rarely, temporary redness, bruising, pain, and swelling lasting up to 2 days may occur at the injection sites. Permanent fillers, being synthetic, can rarely cause a reaction in the body. As a result, granulomatous changes and tissue damage may occur in the application area.

How long do the effects of fillers last?

The longevity of the filler effect varies depending on the patient and the substance used. Besides the type of substance used, the duration of the effect also depends on the area being filled and the patient's specific characteristics. While temporary fillers last for 6 to 12 months, this period can range from 2 to 10 years for permanent fillers. The duration can be extended with repeated injections.

How long after getting fillers can I return to my daily life?

You can resume your daily activities on the same day. Extremely hot and cold environments should be avoided for the first 3 days after the filler procedure.
