Microdermabrasion, applied to treat skin wrinkles, blemishes and irregularities, and to eliminate acne, wound, and surgical scars, can achieve the desired smoothness.

This method removes the dead layer of skin on its uppermost surface. It provides a more superficial shave compared to routine dermabrasion. It stimulates the basal layer and increases collagen concentration, thus rejuvenating the skin. This effective method is an important part of anti-aging skincare.

Microdermabrasion is a non-invasive method based on the principle of abrading the superficial layers of skin by spraying high-pressure aluminum oxide microcrystals onto the skin. In this process, the microcrystals that come into contact with the skin surface perform a gentle exfoliation, while dead cells and skin debris are removed by the device's vacuum system. Blood circulation increases on the skin surface during the procedure, and cell renewal accelerates. The result is a vibrant, fresh, and smooth complexion underneath.

How is microdermabrasion applied?

Microdermabrasion is a method where fine particles are sprayed onto the skin's surface using a device to superficially and gradually exfoliate the uppermost dead layer of skin, revealing the healthy tissue underneath.

For what purpose is it used?

• In eliminating skin wrinkles, spots and irregularities, acne, wounds, burns and surgical scars.

• For the treatment of pigmented spots on the face and body (chest area, hands, etc.)

• In skin disorders caused by sun damage

• In hyperkeratosis

• To reduce irregularities on the skin surface

• In reducing scarring after acne and trauma.

• In the treatment of pregnancy stretch marks

• For oily skin, it helps reduce oil production and cleanses.

• Microdermabrasion is used in anti-aging treatments and to improve skin tone.

What are the application session and duration details?

Microdermabrasion is performed in sessions lasting 20-30 minutes. Sessions are repeated at one-week intervals; a treatment program of 6-8 sessions, varying depending on the existing problem, is required to achieve effective results.

Can people without skin blemishes also get this procedure?

It can also be applied once a year in healthy individuals. Microdermabrasion treatments improve blood circulation to the skin, thus nourishing it and promoting cell renewal, resulting in smooth and healthy skin. Since the pores are deeply cleansed, the skin comes into greater contact with oxygen, thus providing an anti-aging treatment.

Are there any side effects?

Microdermabrasion is a painless treatment method that can be performed without anesthesia and has no side effects or risks. The person can easily return to their daily activities immediately after the procedure.

This method is preferred not only because it is an effective treatment, but also because no chemical substances are used and the procedure is completed without any health risks. Since it is not a surgical treatment method, subcutaneous applications such as needles and injections are not performed. Therefore, patient comfort is maximized.

Is it applicable to everyone?

The procedure is not performed if there is undiagnosed skin cancer, infection, or active acne in the application areas. It also cannot be applied directly to areas with dense capillaries or moles. Furthermore, a gentle approach is required in sensitive areas such as the eye area.

Can it be applied in combination with other methods?

Depending on individual needs, laser rejuvenation can be performed in combination with chemical peels and intense light therapies (IPL).

Can it be applied without disrupting daily life, as is the case with laser skin rejuvenation?

It is normal to experience discoloration, primarily redness, in the treated areas after the session. These will usually resolve spontaneously. Flaking and shedding of the skin can be expected after the redness.

What should be considered during the implementation process?

The procedure is not recommended during the summer months. During the healing process, avoid tanning beds, sun exposure, makeup, and any manual manipulation of the skin.
